Question:
I would like to know what carriers are available to an astronomer?

Replies:
Mostly at colleges and universities, although there are a few jobs in industry. In colleges astronomers teach and do research. The research could be observation using many different kinds of telescopes or satellite instruments, or it could be analyzing data, or it could be theoretical, trying to explain data, or trying to come with new theories of the universe!
