Question:
The sun is supposed to be a round dense mass and be hot.
If it is out of Hydrogen fuel then what is
making it so hot?
Replies:
The sun will eventually run out of hydrogen and helium
(in billions of years) and turn into a red giant, engulfing
the inner planets including the earth. The sun's energy
comes from nuclear fusion of hydrogen and helium into
heavier elements.
