Question:
How did people start to learn things and talk and become
more and more intelligent?
Replies:
Megan,
You can view learning, talking and intelligence as fitting a person
to become successful in living. Those who learn, for example,
can learn things like hunting and growning crops; the alternative is
not learning and simply starving. Talking can be seen as a way of
communicating acquired knowledge which again could provide for success
in survival, for example suggestions of how to gather and prepare food,
or how to choose a mate. Those who do not share 'good ideas' by talking
would be less likely to do as well in surviving. There fore, I see
learning, talking and intelligence as requirements for survival.
If you then toss in a bit of creativity, you have a recipe for what
should be a competitive individual in living.
