Question:
Are there any special considerations when trying to germinate an apple seed from a fresh apple? Do the seeds have to be dried a certain length of time? What is the normal germination time? Our 1st graders plan to plant apple seeds hoping to sprout an apple tree so I'd like enough info. to make this a successful experience. I'd also like to know an estimate of the time it might take for the tree to produce fruit. Thanks!
