Question:
If a plant's roots grow toward leaking underground pipes, what might the plant be showing a tropism toward?

Replies:
Generally the term gravitropism is used for roots growing downward (toward gravity). However, roots also actively grow toward sources of water, thus sometimes toward leaky water pipes.
