What is an easy and available material to use in electrostatic experiment rather than "glass" and "wool" described in most textbooks?


Replies:
I thought the usual materials were plexiglas and cat's fur. if the humidity is low enough, you could bring in some carpet and have your students shuffle their feet on the carpet to build up a charge on their persons.
