Question:
Where do ground snails come from? When it rains, all of the sudden there are dozens of snails out. I know that snails lay eggs and hatch. But do adult snails "migrate" to new areas to "have families"? How are snails introduced to new, seemingly snail-less, areas?

Replies:
This web site is designed for kids and their teachers, it seems to have a pretty good basic outline of snail biology.
