David Cook

David Cook (M.S., Meteorology, The Pennsylvania State University, 1977) has
over 30 years of experience in meteorological, air-surface exchange,
air-quality, soils, and climate measurements and data analysis. His primary
areas of interest are the management of climate monitoring instrument
networks and tower platforms, experimental studies of the air-surface
exchange of energy, carbon dioxide, and pollutants using the gradient and
eddy correlation techniques, measurement of nitrogen oxides production by
lightning, and lightning protection and grounding systems for
instrumentation and facilities. Currently he participates in the DOE
Atmospheric Measurements Program (a climate change monitoring program) and
the Ameriflux Network (an air-surface exchange monitoring program to provide
information on the surface heat and carbon dioxide exchange between the air
and various vegetation surfaces).
